I’ve always had a passion for art and design for as long as I can remember. I won my first blue ribbon for first place in 3rd grade for a charcoal sketch of flowers and from then on, I knew that was my talent. It was something that came natural to me, something that challenged me, but in a way I had never experienced before.

I have a unique talent for envisioning how things can be better, smarter.

I started my career as an intern for the top post-production house in Chicago at the time, Avenue Edit, while completing my degree at DePaul University. I worked with, and was trained by, the best in the field. The attention to detail and need for perfection required was unrelenting, and that has always stuck with me, good or, in some cases, like when my boys’ room is in shambles, challenging.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work on the most recognized brands in the industry, creating broadcast TV commercials. I worked my way up and eventually was given the chance to help animate my first commercial for Wrigley. Surely you remember the Doublemint Twins. I mean, who gets to do that kind of work? It was an incredible experience.

From there I moved on to Harpo Studios to work on The Oprah Winfrey Show. This is where my love of brand took off. I was the lead designer on shows which included guests such as President Obama, Whitney Houston, Barbara Streisand, the 25th Year Finale, and more. The job entailed packaging show graphics, animating b-roll, designing sets, and making sure it all told one singular story. That was when I realized “this is my thing.”

I worked on ad campaigns for No Phone Zone and Finding Madeleine McCann that were published in Time, OMag, Real Simple, and beyond.

Then came the Farewell Season. I was lead on Oprah’s Farewell show in Australia, where we took the brand to the next level. We branded sailboats, masts, trams, and transformed the Sydney Opera House.

When the show came to an end, I continued freelancing and took a position as Art Director for Sheffield Company. I’ve worked with clients such as Harley-Davidson, Mastercard, JLL, and the United States Special Operations (I’d tell you more, but it’s classified!). During my time there, I developed an internal design team and directed our most influential work.

I then moved onto Sheffield Company where The BRIEF Lab was born. I developed the brand, from an idea, to a fully developed and successful offering and online learning platform. As Director of Marketing and brand, we doubled our community, more than tripled the engagement and created a solid foundation for our online platform.

I now lead the creative team at c|change, inc. We’re a strategy-led creative agency in the heart of the West Loop for future-focused B2B (and some B2C) clients.

I am at the intersection of business and design. As a member of our leadership team, I help focus and balance the business, while leading a team of 14 creatives from design to development to content, along the journey.
